The Maisonette Hotel Sydney, Sydney

I had a generally enjoyable stay at The Maisonette, with really good location and friendly staff. However, the lack of a lift made moving luggage a bit of a hassle, and I encountered some issues with cleanliness on my first night that were concerning. Overall, it was a great base to explore Sydney, but some areas need improvement.

My stay at The Maisonette had some highlights, particularly the excellent location near the Opera House and Botanic Gardens. The staff were friendly and accommodating, which made me feel welcome. However, the room was quite small with minimal amenities and a rather cramped bathroom situation. Overall, it's a decent choice for budget-conscious travelers but may not suit everyone’s needs.

My experience at The Maisonette was a mixed bag. On one hand, I found the location super convenient, close to cafes and within walking distance to the Royal Botanic Garden. However, the service was less than stellar—staff seemed pretty unhelpful and rude at times. The room I stayed in lacked some basic amenities, which was disappointing, especially considering the price I paid.
